The Ayurvedic tradition recognizes marijuana (known as vijaya in Sanskrit) as a medicinal herb. However, it is only ever recommended in minuscule doses, and always in combination with other more sattvic herbs to balance the tamasic effects of cannabis.
"Cannabis is a powerful plant that, like many medicines, has the potential to both heal and poison. Let us all use discretion as we engage with this sacred green entity." - Gaia.com

The plant has been used for thousands of years as a natural wellness tool, and modern research is helping us better understand why.
Compounds called cannabinoids—like THC and CBD—interact with your body's endocannabinoid system, a network that helps regulate mood, stress, sleep, pain, inflammation, and overall balance.
When used mindfully, the plant can support relaxation, ease physical tension, and encourage a deeper connection to your body and breath.
For many people, the plant complements a Yoga practice by enhancing presence, body awareness, and introspection.
Like Yoga, the plant, is not one-size-fits-all. A safe, personalized approach that honors your unique needs, experience, and tolerance is key.
When practiced with intention and respect, the combination can become a powerful ritual for self-care, healing, and holistic well-being.

Yoga is so much more than physical postures—it's a practice of connecting with yourself through breath, mindful movement, and awareness.
While it builds strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility, its greatest benefits often extend beyond the body.
A regular Yoga practice can help reduce stress, calm the nervous system, improve mental clarity, and create space for greater self-awareness and emotional resilience.
Like the plant, Yoga invites you to slow down, listen inward, and meet yourself with compassion, curiosity and wonder.
Whether you're brand new to Yoga or have practiced for years, every body and every journey is welcome.
The beauty of Yoga is that it meets you where you are, offering lifelong tools to support your health, healing, and overall well-being.
